Directron Scholarship
First things first, for the previous contest, the deadline for entering was May 1st 2014. So I'm assuming the deadline will be the same for this year. The scholarship will possibly open some time in late March to early April of 2015.

What you have to do is write an essay revolving around the topic of computer technology. Don't bolt for the exit just yet because there is more. Now, the writing prompt is to contain or at least revolve around computer technology but it doesn't have to read like stereo instructions.
The best part about this essay is that there are no restrictions on the type of writing you submit. In Rule #1 Sentence 3 it says that the writing "...can be fiction, non-fiction, short story, instruction manual or a poem." They also stress the importance of writing an essay that is unique as well as original.
It would be cool if I could enter this one since I have a lot of computer tech stories revolving around my precious little laptop. From deciding on a specific laptop to purchase (first ever laptop) to troubleshooting browser connectivity issues (one of my web browsers wouldn't connect to the internet). It's basically one of those essays you can just run wild with; at least within suitable norms.
