Beans for Brains Scholarship

As the name may apply, the scholarship doesn't pertain to anything food related. Beans for brains is a scholarship hosted by Jimmy Beans Wool which is a company that specializes in crafting supplies. More specifically, anything to do with yarn and sewing.

Info for the current scholarship isn't up yet; however, in a past scholarship the participants had to create something in one of the provided crafting categories. The item could be sewn, knitted or even crocheted (crow - shade). As an example of what some past participants have compiled, scroll down toward the bottom of the page.

Scholarship information will be posted on April 1, 2015.

Its April 1st!

Well the information is up for viewing. Based on the instructions, you have to submit a picture of a piece that you have either: knitted, crocheted or weaved. Direct any and all questions to [scholarship@jimmybeanswool.com].

To clarify weave, its actual weaving via loom. The weaving part sounds daunting but there are books as well as supplies available on the Jimmy Beans Wool site on the subjects of weaving, crochet and knitting.

Before heading to the application page, explore the instructions and the FAQ page. Its a fun scholarship with lots of layers that need to be pulled back and examined thoroughly. Would've been cool if I could enter especially since I just learned to knit but I'm sure the submissions would be beyond what I could throw together within a weeks time.
