Scholarship Highlights: Scholarship Experts
This quickly became one of my favorite site for scholarships and scholarship search. The site hosts its own scholarship drawings which takes place every month. The only requirement is to set up an account with them so that you can submit your entries.
Each scholarship consists of writing a little easy on the provided prompt for the month. Each scholarship entry is due by the end of the month and you're more than welcome to submit entries for each monthly contest early; but you still have to wait till the designated drawing time. The next scholarship is due on January 31.
The minimum age requirement is thirteen (13) but all are encouraged to enter just as long as your enrolled in school or plan to enroll no later than the provided date. In addition to their sponsored monthly scholarships, they also provide a scholarship search service which can be found in the Scholarship Directory tab located in the top navigation bar.
Once on the page, you will see a side bar listing scholarship search specifics and a detailed list of what each search specific means. There's a little something of everything that caters to each unique individual. The entry fees to the scholarships should be free though from time-to-time there are the select few that surface that have a fee attached; this isn't the case for all*.
*Some scholarships/contests have a fee attached for varying reasons. One of the reasons to help build up the prize pot as well as support the organization(s) sponsoring the scholarships/contests.
Their Resources tab is nice starting point for those who are new to the scholarship search process. Before you take leave of the site, pay a visit to their Blog. It's filled with information and resources for students looking to enter college as well as those already enrolled.
You can even search for blog posts on subjects of interest, like paying for school or getting more aid. Of the blog posts viewed thus far, the one dated Dec 18, 2014 is a must read.
