International Student site

Locating sound resources for international funding is truly difficult especially during the weeding out phase. This was mentioned back in February 2018 when IEFA was discovered during an exhaustive search. While browsing for photography scholarship opportunities I came across this site geared toward international students

International Student dot com is like an information hub for students looking to study abroad both stateside and from across the pond. Meaning if you live in the US or in another country, the site can be utilized to locate funding opportunities. On their homepage alone you’re introduced to snippets from recently published articles along with posts from their social media pages.

The Scholarship Search

Everything is grouped accordingly with a special kudos to the 'popular' tab for grouping the most searched items under one roof. It’s an expansive site that is worth taking your time to explore especially when it comes to the scholarship opportunities. During the last check-in there were approximately 1,587 funding opportunities listed of which can be narrowed down by the field you’re majoring in.

Search Box Example as it appears on site.
I did a search test run for Business/Management studies in China while being from the US and that gave me 366 results. Next Digital Arts & Design was tested with Japan being the study location and Austria being the from location - yielded 310 results. Lastly, Sociology was tested with New Zealand and Denmark respectively and got 310 results.

To me, this is highly promising especially when compared to my personal experiences searching for scholarships. You see lots of leads one moment and when you narrow down the search you're left with little to no options. So seeing these results is welcoming.

Financial Aid Knowledge Base

A must read section has got to be International Financial Aid. Located under the 'Resources' drop down menu, it's home to a variety of articles geared toward educating the audience through the school funding process. Of the sections, Financial Aid Advice Articles should be top priority because it has articles that touch on some very important topics; like scams and evaluating school costs for example.

From here, you can explore the rest of the material listed under the Resources section. Also, explore the Study Centers along with the Products & Services sections for additional assistance in making your transition into the realm of international studies a little more manageable.
