October 2019 Scholarships and Upcoming Internships
Top of the evening everyone! It's time for another round of scholarship opportunities. There's only five that seem promising so some internships and contests have been thrown into the mix.
The deadlines for these scholarships are going to be cutting it close and the first two deadlines are right around the corner. As another heads up, some may or may not have restrictions in regards to location. So without further ado, the scholarships.
NPG 2019 Student Poster Contest deadline is fast approaching so if interested and able get going. NPG (Negative Population Growth) is an organization that discusses concerns about overpopulation in communities overall. The organization has been around since 1972.
Each year their contests focuses on a specific theme. This year's theme is 'Too Many People.' The write up for the contest can be found here.
Thought I misread my notes but it is as stated. Rather than one scholarship, there are a series of scholarships sponsored by the NSCA Foundation. The blanket requirement, at minimum, is for applicants to be in engaged in a major, or in the process of attending a school, relating to the strength and conditioning field. Altogether, there are eight scholarships total with a series of requirements that must be met; which vary per scholarship.
The only affirmative requirement for all is to be a member of the NSCA at the time of application. Also, after entering the scholarship page through the provided link, you will have to create separate login as it will be different from the membership page. So yeah, time is of the essence with this one and really wish that I had published this sooner.

Presented by the International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD), the Ludo Frevel Scholarship is geared toward up and coming crystallographers. The program has been assisting students within the crystallography major since 1991. Two of the key items for eligibility is that you have to be enrolled in a graduate program and enrolled for the 2020 calendar year as a whole.
If you are due to graduate prior of July 2020, then you'll be ineligible for applying. One of the best things about this scholarship is the fact that it's geared toward students across the globe. Meaning, if you live in another country and are majoring within the science field of crystallography then you are eligible to apply; provided you're not due to graduate before July 2020.
Since the late 1800s, the organization now known as 4-H has been assisting youths in the community to expand their horizons beyond the tried and true arena. For decades, they have uplifted youths to strive for excellence and to think outside the box so that new, practical solutions can be achieved. The 4-H Youth in Action Awards is a three step process for selecting an individual of whom will win a $5K scholarship to a higher education institution of their choosing.

"Create an original video about U.S. rice, National Rice Month, and the importance of rice to your state (must be 3 minutes or less)." As simple as it sounds, the scholarship is restricted to six (6) states - Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Texas. Yes, you've read correctly.
Though limiting, it's a nice opportunity for students to showcase their creative talent and their passion for food. Another eligibility is that you have to be a high school student that is about to graduate. Three scholarships will be awarded with the grand prize winner winning a trip to the 2019 USA Rice Outlook Conference. For additional info, visit the NRM page
A post was made back in September where some mentions were given in regards to scholarship and internship opportunities along with a potential contest. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the photography and interior design opportunities as their deadlines are usually in the early parts of the year. A major highlight falls on discovered internships.
4-H dot org not only provides up to date information on the organization and their programs; but they also host internships. At current the internship options for this year have already been filled but feel free to bookmark the page for new opportunities that are bound to surface for the following year. Also, look into their job posting page for potential openings.
Blizzard Entertainment is another for the books and is mentioned quite a bit in some of my postings. At current, they have a total of 36 internships openings at their company within seven different disciplines. This is just one of three options within the Student Programs section; which means you'll have to keep an eye on the other two especially the contest as the time till it starts is due to be soon.

He shares some interesting tips that many can benefit from; regardless if you're currently an enrolled student or not. In addition to here, explore game developers and gaming organizations for internship options.
It sounds weird, but some seem to have a variety of internship options available that don't solely revolve around art and sound creation.
