Fast Food Scholarships

Burger King
The BK Scholarships were created in honor of James W. McLamore who is one of the co-founders of the Burger King franchise. The scholarships are sponsored as well as funded by the BK McLamore Foundation℠. The scholarship amount varies but the reward amount goes no lower than 1,000USD.

The application period is typically between October 15 and December 15 for the designated school year. An example of a school year is 2014-2015. According to the site, "Recipients are selected based on their grade point average, work experience, extracurricular activities and/or community service," (BK McLamore Foundation dot org).

There are two scholarship categories under the BK Scholarship Program: Burger King℠ Scholars and James W. McLamore WHOPPER® Scholarship Award.

Burger King℠ Scholars awards between 1,000USD and  5,000USD grants.

James W. McLamore WHOPPER® Scholarship Award consists of three 50,000USD scholarships.

McDonald's : RMHC
McDonald's is commonly associated with as a franchise that grants young people with employment opportunities as well as opportunities to kick start their career(s). In addition to work opportunities, the franchise runs a charity organization -- Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) -- which is responsible for raising funds throughout the year to help support individuals/groups in need.

One of the ways they are doing this is through sponsored scholarships. They currently offer four (4) scholarships. The requirements for each sponsored scholarship vary but the main requirement, of course, revolves around the applicant being enrolled in an institution of higher education.

Taco Bell
Live Más™ and pay for school. The Glen Bell Scholarship is sponsored by Taco Bell in honor of the founder of the company. This scholarship is for Taco Bell employees who meet specific requirements. There isn't an online form, from what I can tell, but there is an alternative way to contact the scholarship providers via the link above.
